DAILY SCHEDULE

MONDAY 23rd October DRAGGING PAINT FULLY BOOKED

Trip to Tate Modern to explore the artworks by german artist Gerhard Richter. Richter used a big squeegee to etch, scrap or smear paint onto the surface of the canvas creating a very particular effect that makes each artwork a visual adventure. Children will attempt Richter's technique making a big mural at the museum.

 

TUESDAY 24th October NEON ART FULLY BOOKED

A whole day exploring the Art of male and female artists working with neon tubes in a creative and unique way. Jung Lee, Bruce Nauman or Dan Flavin will inspire children to create their own glowing 3D artworks. The session will be followed by an exhibition of the artworks at 4pm at our camp base in Shadwell.

 

WEDNESDAY 25th October ART IS ALL AROUND YOU FULLY BOOKED

And literally in this area of London it is. Trip to Trinity Buoy Wharf to explore the particular street Art and the sculptures all around the area. Many artists live and work in this tiny peninsula in London E14, we will meet some of them and visit the most iconic artworks of the area. Children will create a custom sculpture in the afternoon inspired what we've seen in the morning, they'll be able to use a wide range of Art materials to let their creativity fly.

 

THURSDAY 26th October FUN PHYSICS  FULLY BOOKED

A day at the camp exploring the laws of physics in a multisensory & creative way. Using  different types of pendulums, sand, water, paint, salt and spyrographs children will create awesome pieces of Art to take home.

 

FRIDAY 27th October À LA POLLOCK FULLY BOOKED

Contemporary Art is right on trend! So at Lemon ArtLab we decided to be super trendy for once and organise a special Art session so you can give give your wardrobe an Art attack inspired by abstract artist Jackson Pollock! This artist used to splatter all around a canvas using brushes, sticks and whatever he'd find around. Our proposition: bring an old pair of shoes, leggings, a t-shirt or shirt, jeans, a backpack, your lunch bag...and decorate it with some splatter painting techniques. Kids can bring as many items as they want and can be also mum's t shirt, dad's jeans or baby brother's onesie, you decide!

We will provide Tote Bags to decorate as well.

FOOD AT THE CAMP

Every child needs to bring their own packed lunch to eat at the camp. Lunch time is between 12:30 - 1:15 pm (kids decide). We provide a healthy snack at 10:30am (we cater for all allergies, vegetarian and vegan diets, just let us know).
